After many Many MANY months of tussling, changing and waiting...this start-up is finally..STARTED.

This idea was born when Eve was still working for a local Organic product distributor in May 2007. I personally tasted some of the samples and...I got hooked! Some initial plannings and studying took place but I eventually was delayed. Obstacles like looking for a reliable web designer, web programmer etc. aiya...I can't really start explaining what eventually took so long. But it's up. Not everything is up though...I still have yet to finish doing my homework. ;op

However, I am encouraged because there are already my own circle of friends who are keen on Organic products. My current web programmer's colleagues are keen as well.
They seem keen on Kettle Chips - which is one of things I got hooked on. Perhaps I can interest them on the juices as well. oh, my parents have now observed a more organic diet. That's good!

hmmz...for me, my expectation for this business is simply to get it up and going. I don't need it to be the market leader. The industry doesn't seem to roll very much anyway. Overall feedback is the Organic products are still an Acquired-taste.
Well...acquired or not...I just enjoy this type of business. B2C ( Business to Consumer ).

okay..time to look up my suppliers once again.

Mentorship

My dear friend Wendy recently asked me to participate in a mentorship program for her school’s project. Apparently, her group will be coming up with an idea…hopefully a niche business concept and I will guide them in their marketing strategies.

It’s a very interesting thing. I always know I have it in me to coach, mentor, train new blood in the areas of business. I love passing down the necessary foundational knowledge. Moreover, my experience of being a tutor (over 8yrs!) to secondary, Primary and JC students allowed me to sharpen my coaching skills. Not to mention a good 6mths of back to back coaching Adults at Adam Khoo’s workshops.

But to be as honest as a baby, it has been quite a while since I last really coached. I relish the challenge. I relish the opportunity. And let’s aim for the skies! And if the project gets a grade A or gets investors...all the better!

The beginning...or is it?

I'm a believer that I hold the ultimate power to the steps of my career and the I'm a strong advocate of creating my own streams of income and revenue.

I have had began, run and failed small businesses in the past.
Lessons have been learnt. Characters have been built. People have been understood. Strategies...well..are a continuous science of Business.

Hence, is this really a beginning?
